Media and Influence

The battle for influence can be won by multiplting one's contacts and networks.. No company or organisation can escape this. In order to make one's point of view felt, one has to be able to get direct access to decision-makers, bring one's networks into play and maintain a relationship of mutual confidence with the media.

Les Rois Mages has built up a highly reputed expertise in these fields. Because of the reactivity and diverse backgrounds of its teams, it is able to obtain the confidence of political and economic decision-makers as well as set up warning and monitoring systems with regard to image.

By means of individual meetings, group action and the production of well-argued documents for internal or public diffusion, Les Rois Mages has found solutions to a certain number of complex situations involving large companies or professional organisations. In the field of media relations, Les Rois Mages assists clients in overall strategy: the concept and carrying out of press campaigns, media training and media partnerships.

In order to help carry out these missions, Les Rois Mages has formed a partnership with Daccodaktion and Ulysceo.

Guillaume Menet studied science and obtained a masters in molecular biology before becoming interested in company management and doing a degree in management. He began his professional career with Oréal. With Les Rois Mages, he coordinates missions concerning influence as well as media relations. He designs and manages press relation strategies for agency clients.

Daccodaktion, spécialist in the analysis of the political and regulatory environment
Daccodaktion was founded in 2008 by Hugues Amourette. It is a consultancy dealing with communication with government and local authorities whose aim is to assist companies by offering support in the analysis of the political and regulatory environment and in their relations with the establishment and public authorities. Daccodaktion acts in partnership with Les Rois Mages mainly on missions of influence.
For more than twenty years, Hugues Amourette held posts of responsibility within government and parliament. Between 1993 and 2008 he was successively parliamentary advisor to Alain Carignon, Minister of Communications, then to Nicolas Sarkosy, Minister of the Budget and government spokesman. Following this, he became assistant bureau head and parliamentary advisor to Jean Arthuis, Minister of the Economy and Finance, then foreign relations advisor to Christian Poncelet, President of the Senate. Hugues Amourette founded Daccodaktion in 2008 and assists Les Rois Mages mainly in missions involving influence.

Ulysceo, expert in management of complex situations
Ulysceo assists companies in the management of unconventional crisis situations, both in France and abroad. It employs a number of consultants who specialise in the ways to approach and solve complex situations. Certain missions undertaken by Les Rois Mages involve the participation of Ulysceo.
Laurent Combalbert, founder of Ulysceoo, is an officer with the French national police. He holds a diploma from the National Academy of the FBI and for many years was the officer who acted as negotiator for RAID, the rapid response wing of the national police force. He then joined an international group as associate director, in charge of crisis situations, before founding Ulysceo. During the course of his career, Laurent Combalbert has managed scores of hostage-takings, kidnappings, blackmail attempts and other unconventional situations.

Le Cercle des économistes is a French association that brings together the most distinguished French economists under the direction of Jean-Hervé Lorenzi. Every year, it holds a seminar in Aix-en-Provence (Les Rencontres Economiques d’Aix en Provence) with over a hundred participants.

Les Rois Mages assisted Le Cercle des Economistes during 2008 with its commuications and took part in the preparation of the Rencontres Economiques d’Aix en Provence: communication around the event to make it "visible" to the general public, assistance in the choice of themes and participants, press relations and onsite operational assistance.
